About Filmstreet
Film Street introduces young people to the world of films and filmmaking, highlighting filmmaking techniques in fun and exciting ways.
The new Film Street site is designed to encourage, inform and support young people to make and share films and animations both in and out of school.
New video and interactive online content enables teachers to use Film Street directly in the classroom to teach young people about the creative processes involved in filmmaking and animation.
Film Street, and our sister site ArtisanCam, have a wider cross-curricular role to encourage creativity in the classroom.
Young filmmakers, or their teachers, can submit their work to the site so that other children can be inspired by their creations simply by clicking on the upload button on the top of every page.
Film Street has received funding from LGFL (London Grid for Learning) and First Light.
Film Street is produced by Artistsatwork.org and Notion 23.
Film Street was originally commissioned by Culture Online, part of the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and developed by First Light in partnership with CBBC, the British Film Institute, the UK Film Council and Creative Partnerships.
