Why Filmmaking?

Filmmaking enables children and young people to develop their creative, team working and technical skills, expressing themselves through a media that transcends barriers in academic ability, literacy, language and cultural background.

What are the benefits for young people?

Filmmaking requires a range of different skills and therefore will draw on the strengths of all the young people in your group, enabling everybody to achieve. Creative thinkers can work on the ideas, talented writers can take charge of the script, ICT experts can do the editing, organisers can become producers, performers can act....there is a job for everyone.
